| What is this workshop about? Music Therapy is a healthcare profession which uses music as a medium to address a child’s physical, psychological, emotional, social and/or behavioral needs. This is done under the guidance of a certified Music Therapist in a therapeutic environment. A music therapist conducts a variety of musical interventions to meet a child’s needs, aiming to promote his/her quality of life. Music is a flexible but structural stimulus that creates a positive and therapeutic environment to promote physical and mental health. The non-threatening characteristic of music allows children to move along with music, both physically and mentally.
